Changes to Notes
Tuition fees cover all costs for academics and school programs. \
- Tuition fees cover all costs for academics and school programs and school travel as well as a subsidized portion of athletics, textbooks, SRC fees, and student insurance.
- Room fees cover all costs of living in the residence, residence supervision, room keys and residence maintenance.
- Board fees cover all cost of daily meals.
- International Fees covers cost of custodian declaration, passport documentation, student Visa documents, Sask. Health documents, notary public signatory and other admin fees.
- ESL English Language fees will be assessed on an as required basis for international students.
LCBI High School does not receive grants from Saskatchewan Learning for Out of Province or International Students.
A discount of 25% is granted on tuition when two (2) students from the same family attend LCBI High School. A discount of 33% is granted on tuition when three (3) students from the same family attend LCBI High School within the same semester.
School breaks and long weekends (as designated in the school calendar) are not included in the room and board fees. Dorms are closed during these holidays. When required, a homestay will be provided for international students on school breaks when dorms are closed.
Withdrawals and Refunds:
Tuition Fees are refundable on a prorated basis according to the number of days enrolled until November 30 (Semester 1) and April 30 (Semester 2). After those dates, fees are non-refundable.
Tax Savings on LCBI Tuition:
In certain circumstances, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) allows a portion of amounts paid for tuition to privately supported secular and religious schools to be considered a charitable donation. Tuition or a portion thereof may be used as a charitable donation for Income Tax purposes (for Canadian students only). Donation receipts will be issued after the end of each calendar year in accordance with CRA Information Circulation 75-23. For students who receive a scholarship and bursary, a T4A will be issued after the end of the calendar year.
Please contact your accountant for a detailed calculation of any non-refundable tax credits or savings you could be eligible for.
International students will receive provisional acceptance; however, the Registration Fee and International Fee must be paid in advance. Once these fees are received, students are sent a Formal Acceptance Letter and Custodianship Agreement to include in their application for a student visa for purposes of studying in Canada.
International students may withdraw by written notice no less than 60 days prior to the first day of the semester to be eligible for a full refund of the International Fee. Withdrawals less than 60 days prior to the first day of the semester will result in a refund of one-half the International Fee. Withdrawals after the beginning of the semester will result in a forfeit of the International Fee.
Tuition, Room and Board fees are due in full at the beginning of Semester I and Semester II respectively.
